Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

thank you so much for the lovely comments on the prices thing, I wasn't expecting that at all oh my gosh
I feel super happy and fuzzy and just... I'm literally crying, you are all so nice, I don't even know what to say. I was feeling pretty depressed and I don't know, just reading all of that made me feel so much happier about everything qwq

Also! I finally realized that chemical engineering is dumb and boring and it's silly to spend four years studying something you hate, SO, I have decided to switch my major to interactive media & game development!! I bought an Intuos5 tablet and everything, this is a really big deal. I'm so excited to get to do art for school stuff - I get to study character design for real now, and learn do do art properly in general. I've been dreaming about studying art forever and I finally realized that there's nothing stopping me, so I'm going for it ;v;

Anyway I should probably stop dumping my happiness on the internet, sorry for the wordvomit journals. I tend to be a bit overemotional at times u~u
